A gang tied Georgia methamphetamine ring originating in Gwinnett County has arms reaching into Cherokee, Pickens, and Cobb Counties. Authorities in Cherokee are claiming they have made 5 arrests so far, assisting in shutting down this wide scale operation. read more

Weapons once out of circulation are back on the streets after a thief stole from the McDonough Police Department’s evidence room. While two of the stolen guns have been recovered, police estimate 7 to 10 are still out there.

Jamie Lee Clark, a convicted felon and part of the Sherriff’s Department’s work release program crawled through a window at the department on June 1st. Having worked in the building for months, police suspect Clark spent his time planning his heist. read more

The Home Park community near Georgia Tech is experiencing a rash of robberies that has residents frightened to leave home.  The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that there has been 12 attacks since February, the majority of them against Tech students.

The robberies vary slightly but as suspects from one such incident are behind bars, the attacks continue, leading police to believe there are multiple suspects. Atlanta Police are unsure if the attacks are gang related or not but think the suspects are all young men. read more
